Instructions for Observers
The following message will be e-mailed to each tester. You may then contact the names you have been given to set up individual appointments.
Dear test volunteer:
Thank you for volunteering to help us test the MIT Libraries web site. A library staff member will be contacting you to schedule a test sometime between March 8 and March 19.
What is involved? You will be asked to find the answers to some specific questions on our web site while thinking out loud and being observed by one person on our library staff. You will also be asked a few survey questions at the end of the observed test.
Why? To help us improve our web site.
Time commitment? One half hour to be scheduled at your convenience, sometime between March 8 and March 19.
Where? The person who contacts you will arrange a location suitable for both of you.
Your reward? A Toscanini's ice cream coupon and the joy of knowing you're helping us improve our site.
