Subject Pages Survey

Dear Subject Specialists:

We would like to get your input and expertise in order to help us with the charge above. Would you take a moment to give us your input by answering the following questions?

Please return your answers by Sept. 22, 1999. Thanks!

1. In your opinion, what constitutes an excellent subject page? What kinds of subject pages do you find least effective? What specific categories of things should be included in a good subject page? (list examples)

2. Are there any unique qualities about your discipline that impact your creation of subject pages? (such as specific kinds/formats of resources unique to your discipline)

3. If you like, send us a few URLs of pages on our site or on other web sites that you feel are examples of good subject pages.

4. What factors would help you to create and maintain excellent pages? (more time, easy-to-use web software, training, guidelines, assistance, templates, student help, etc.)

5. Please tell us about any feedback you have received from library users about our subject pages.

6. Have you created any pages for specific courses? How do these pages relate to our subject pages?

7. Do you have any other comments?
