1. Macromedia Contribute
We looked at Macromedia Contribute and Nicole walked us through some of the functionality using the Web Group minutes’ pages as an example. We will experiment with the software ourselves by editing the minutes for the next month before making a recommendation.
2. Deep Site Template
Nicole showed us some examples pages she created with a higher-level navigation bar. The group agreed that the last example was the best. Nicole will continue to work on it.
3. Google Scholar
Millicent is meeting with Sarah Wenzel from the Reference Committee next week to discuss content for the page. Nicole reported the Google Scholar bookmarklet is under development and information about it should be added to the page when completed. Christine will contact MacKenzie about giving feedback to Google.
4. Future Topics
The group suggested the following topics be discussed at future meetings: faceted browse usability study of other web sites and Google Scholar update
