Present:
Hennig (chair), Duke, Edelman, Quirion, Skuce (minutes)
Guests: Angie Locknar, Kate McNeill-Harman, Pam Nicholas
The entire meeting was devoted to generating possible
solutions to problems identified during the November usability tests.
The group made considerable progress, and Nicole continues to compile
the results of our discussions.
Because
the usability tests covered a wide range of resources and services
available through the Libraries' web site, many of the proposed improvements
generated through this round of testing will require the input and
expertise of various other groups and individuals in order to be implemented.
The Barton OPAC design group has asked us to forward our Barton-related
comments to them before Jan. 13, so they can work on them right away.
WAG
has decided that we should conduct a small number of additional tests
with people who, unlike our November testers, have had minimal prior
exposure to the web site. Darcy and Angie will work on a signup form,
and recruiting strategies, for this difficult-to-identify population.
