Present: Hennig (minutes), Edelman, Duke, Quirion, Skuce

1. Usability test planning

We reviewed details related to the test. To do:

- Nicole will order Amazon.com gift certificates for each test volunteer ($15)
- Nicole talked to Lisa about the Ask Us Live part of the test. She is OK with it, Stephen will arrange to test the question, we'll use the test queues page to enter it, Stephen will report back to us via email.
- Christine will test the SFX question, test B, number 4 (Nicole still working on getting SFX menus to work correctly - should be fixed by the real test time).

2. Results of testing the usability questions

Jen, Christine, and Stephen reported on testing the test questions. We came up with a detailed list of changes and practical things related to the questions. Nicole will revised the questions to include these changes and create the final versions to be given to the observers.

 

3. More usability test planning

Final test of the questions:
- Darcy will test the final version of the questions after Nicole makes today's changes to the test.


Recruiting volunteers:
- Darcy to make sign-up sheet to recruit volunteers.
- Jen, Christine, Stephen, Darcy each have a library or libraries where they will put the sign-up sheets and collect names.
- Each one of us will email the names to Nicole.
- Nicole will send intro email soon after getting names.

Recruit observers:
- Agreed to be observers: Darcy, Stephen, Christine, Jen, Nicole, Angie, Kate
- We need one more person, Nicole will recruit one more observer.

 

4. Other business

Jen suggested a scavenger-hunt style IAP activity, with the purpose of helping people get familiar with our web site. We agreed on a $50 prize (random drawing of a name from those who find all the answers). Darcy will work with Jen to come up with a description of this for the IAP catalog - needs to be submitted by Nov. 1. More details to be worked out at a future meeting.
