Minutes - 20 March 2002

Present: Duke (minutes), Hennig, Skuce

1. Looking at other ARL library websites

Each member of the group looked at pages of other ARL libraries for new ideas. The group kept a list of interesting features that may influence some of our own future changes. We will continue to look at web sites of more libraries at our next meeting. Some sites we looked at:

Alberta
Boston College
Johns Hopkins University
University of Texas - Austin
University of Washington
Yale

2. Planning for next usability tests

The group will start working soon with Sarah Williams to plan some usability testing for the new GIS web site. Nicole (and the group) will be spending a lot of time over the next few months helping with usability testing of SFX implementation and the no frames version of 3rd Barton, so usability testing of the main MIT Libraries' web site will be minimized for now, with more extensive testing to be done later in the summer.

Next meeting:

Wednesday, April 3, 2-3:30pm; 10-500 (Nicole's office)
