Minutes - 2 January 2002

Present: Duke (minutes), Hennig, Skuce

1. Feedback from staff

We continued to review feedback from staff on the new website. Several changes will be acted upon immediately, some suggestions will be discussed at more length at the brownbag lunch (Monday, Jan. 28, 12-1 pm, 14E-304) in order to get more input, and others will be kept on the list for the larger review of the site.

2. Finding articles page

We are working on a page that describes how to find and get articles using Vera, the databases, Barton, etc. Darcy will consult with other reference staff for input and feedback on this page.

3. Undergraduate Users Group

Nicole recently met with the Undergraduate Users Group. They had compiled a list of resources that would be helpful for undergraduates - some of these resources already exist on our website but others do not, and some that do exist are difficult to find. The UUG will create some of the pages that don't exist and WAG will work with them and some other groups to appropriately link the new resources and improve the existing ones.

4. Stellar

The group reviewed the updated library resources listed on the Stellar pages and will get back to Mike Barker with some minor changes.

Next meeting:

Wednesday, Janurary 16, 1:30-3PM (rescheduled time); 10-500 (Nicole's office)
