Minutes 10/10/2001

Present: Duke (minutes), Hennig, Skuce

1. Review of group

The group welcomed Stephen Skuce as a new member of WAG and reviewed procedures, minutes, etc. It was decided that Darcy would take minutes at all meetings.

2. Digital projects page mockup

The group reviewed a mockup of a page which would list digital initiatives at the Libraries (DSpace, Vera, etc.) as well as digital collections of materials (the Music Library's sheet music collection, the Aga Khan Visual Archive, etc.) on the public web site. A few minor changes need to be made and then Nicole will be announce the page to all-lib and ask for further additions and suggestions.

3. Review of Archives web site

Darcy has begun working with the Archives on improvements they are making to their site. The group reviewed the site and made some suggestions for improved navigation, which Darcy will mockup and take back to the Archives for their feedback.

4. Usability testing

Nicole recently attended the User Interface 6 East Conference and came back with a lot of good ideas for usability testing. In addition to further testing our new web site, there will need to be testing for upcoming projects such as DSpace, SFX, the no frames version of Barton, etc. We will discuss this more at our next meeting.

Next meeting:

Wednesday, October 17, 2-3:30 PM; 10-500 (Nicole's Office)
