The web contact will serve as a first contact for web-related work around the libraries.

Sample responsibilities:

  • help with creating and maintaining web pages for their departments, using:
    - Dreamweaver
    - Libguides
    - Wordpress
    - Confluence wikis
    - file management and FTP on people's computers
    - other web 2.0 tools
  • recommend best practices for writing style & usability
  • act as first contact point for questions from staff in each unit
  • keep current on latest web tools and skills, attend training sessions
  • meet on a regular basis with Web Manager for updates, training, and to share information across departments
