Camtasia tips for producing public tutorials:
See also Camtasia Tips for for help and tutorials that will walk you through the details of how to produce.
- Choose "Custom production settings"

- Choose "Flash"

- On the following screen:
- Choose "One video" or "One video with TOC"
- Theme = "Matte"
- Under "Flash options" go through tabs and make background color=white,
uncheck "pause at start", you may choose to show "About" box and enter a description of the video (keep in mind this is saved across projects and will need to be edited each time)
- Under "Change dimensions" you may change the final size of the video (should be under 550 pixerls high!) and the side of the table of contents (see Customizing the Dimensions for help)
- You may preview your settings by clicking on the preview button - this takes less time than producing your entire video.

- On the next screen, select "Options" under Video info
- Enter your name under "creator" on the "Author Information" tab (you may enter other metadata if you like, but remember this information is saved across projects so you must edit it every time)

- On the next screen:
- Name your file
- Be sure it is being saved in the project folder (which is often not the default listed here)
- Make sure the check boxes shown below are checked (do not check any others on this page).

- Camtasia will automatically show you a local preview of your video!
