MESSAGE FOR TALK
TO UA COUNCIL
We talked about developing a communications strategy to discuss with
the Council, and about the News we would like to deliver. Nina then
summed it all up as follows: In the short-term, there are some big things
we want you to know, i.e., 3rd Barton, the new Web site, Pay-4-Print,
[renovation plans?]. In the long term, we want to improve our ability
to talk to you. More importantly, how can we best learn from you what
your concerns are?
TOPOGRAPHY
Chris raised the question, are we getting the lay of the land for undergraduates?
Do we understand the organizational structure for undergraduates, and
their own organizations and groups? Do we have information to communicate
within the libraries? [Refer to "define desired knowledge"
under project management on our work chart.] For future discussion.
CONTACTS
A suggestion was made to ask the undergraduates on the Faculty
Committee for the Library System to meet with us.
NEXT MEETINGS
We decided to meet March 1 on our regular biweekly schedule and to assess
from meeting to meeting whether and when we might need to reduce the
number of meetings, for the sanity of those working on 3rd Barton. Other
user groups are reducing their schedules.
