MIT Libraries Undergraduate User Group
Undergraduate User Group minutes: 11/02/00
Present: dePopolo, Gabridge, Sherrat, Wenzel (recording)
The group began by brainstorming information that it would like to collect. Most of this information will be useful as we strive to understand the topology of our user group. We will be researching numerical data, names of people associated with undergraduates, and information about the undergraduate experience at MIT.
We next turned to a discussion of our message, i.e. what we want to be able to communicate consistently to people outside of the library. DePopolo will write up a message for the next meeting. We would like also to have a “cheat sheet” of phrases & points.
We agreed that meeting every two weeks was a good schedule. We would like to try to claim the 1st-year students as “our group.”
Next meeting we will report on the web sites of other libraries that we examined.
