Announcements
· De Popolo noted that Peter Shulman, the UA President, had made some positive comments on the Libraries as quoted by The Tech. We agreed that the timing seems appropriate to try to meet with Peter and perhaps others from the UA. De Popolo will contact him and set up a meeting


· Dean Benedict has agreed to invite us to send a participant to a forthcoming stochastic dinner. De Popolo, who will be on the receiving end of the invitation, will coordinate the who and when.
· De Popolo reported on recent discussions in the Instruction Committee regarding how the Libs. Should handle orientation.

Latest draft of Ugrad Web Page
Gabridge distributed printouts of a revised web page for undergraduates, which was reviewed with enthusiasm. We hope to have it ready to roll out by June.

The following assignments were made:
· each library rep. will to check on the accuracy of the group meeting room section for their unit
· Davis-Millis will work on the laptop section, and wireless;
· Gabridge will work on the course bible section, with Chris Sherratt helping out with Science bibles
· Gabridge will ask Nicole for a Vera list of all full-text database sources and full text sources by subject
In addition, we hope to add Jobs Available in the MIT Libraries, and Contact list of staff by subject.

Outline of Hours Paper
De Popolo distributed a draft of points for an hours white paper. It includes known sources of data, ideas for benchmarking and a literature search, and important factors and changes. Discussion to continue at our next meeting.

Assignments:
· De Popolo agreed to do the survey data and interviews (Fleishauer, Mullins, Wolpert) and the 24-hour stats from Hayden (Theresa).

· Gabridge will work on the benchmarking section
· De Popolo will ask Sarah to do a literature search
