User Interface Group Meeting
Present: Darcy Duke (minutes), Millicent Gaskell, Lisa Harrington, Nicole Hennig, Bonnie Parks
1. Staff Web
Wiki support: IST is still reviewing which wiki software they will support and so we are still waiting on them. We discussed the role of wikis on the staff web. We can see possible uses on the public web as well and it would be preferable to use the same wiki software for both. Nicole will bring our thoughts to Nina.Nicole reviewed the detailed plan she and Millicent developed for the migration of the staff web. A brownbag about the new site will be planned. We also reviewed changes to the home page of the site that have implemented since our last meeting.
2. Barton Issues
Darcy asked the group for feedback about some interface issues in the new v.18 catalog. The new bookshelf screens are very ugly and unintuitive - the group came up with some suggestions and other interfaces to compare the design of.
