Technical Services Forum (TSF)

...a communications forum to address common concerns between Collections Services and Public Services...

TSF was formed in or around 1991 by Carol Fleishauer, Associate Director for Collection Services, as "a communications forum to address common concerns between Collections Services and Public Services". Questions with larger or policy implications were referred to DLG/TSAC and/or Fleishauer. Subgroups were formed to address particular problems: gift flags, replacements for added copies, statuses, e.g. Information from this group was used in ILS migration from GLIS to Advance. It was also a "sounding board" for implications of decisions and processes. The group remains as a place to get a broad overview, rather than find answers to specific questions.

Meeting Schedule

TSF meets quarterly, on the fifth Tuesday of the month (when there is, of course, a fifth Tuesday). In general, we meet in 14E-304 (The Nap Room), but that is subject to availability. Please see meeting announcements and agendas sent to our mailing list for specific dates, times, and places.

Mailing List

Send your comments, questions, and agenda items to tsf-lib@mit.edu. [Note: since this group is no longer active, the mailing list has been disbanded, 9/15/2006]
