Note: This is not a comprehensive list, and library procedures may differ. If you have any questions about the status of an item, contact your local processing supervisor.
At Bindery Sent for binding or repair (physically sent to Preservation Services, who decides whether to bind locally or send out to commercial binder). Information about binding at http://libstaff.mit.edu/colserv/bindery/acme.htm.
Back Ordered Normally received through subscription or standing order, was claimed, did not arrive. The piece was back ordered through MonoAcq.

Lost System assigns if an item is "long overdue."
Missing Not found after a month of searching.
On Hold Item has been requested by a patron and is ready to be picked up.
On Order Order sent to vendor.
On Search Not checked out, but not in shelf location and not found after an initial search.

Received Used for current journal issues.
Received/Not Yet Available Used for monographs (when received, changes automatically from On Order). Stays "Received/Not Yet Available" until received and processed in local unit. Item may be made "rush" if needed by a patron.
