DISASTER RESPONSE:
Disaster Response Kit
The Libraries are located throughout the MIT campus. While Preservation
Services stocks the materials needed to respond to a collections-related
water emergency, it is also critical to have supplies available
at each individual library for immediate response.
To achieve this goal, disaster response kits have been distributed
throughout the MIT Libraries system. The kits contain items such
as:
- plastic sheeting
- caution tape
- protective aprons
- gloves
Preservation Services staff provides orientation to the various
components of the kits, and will restock supplies as they are used.
