PREVENTATIVE CARE

We respond to questions on a vast array of preservation and conservation topics and work to establish appropriate procedures and standards for ongoing preservation issues.

The Book Damage Gallery is a resource for anyone who needs to identify typical types of book damage.

Our book handling guidelines summarize correct book handling procedures in typical library work situations.

We receive questions on preservation issues for many different types of media found in library collections. The web sites below provide information on general preservation principles for the following types of items.
