Preservation Services is dedicated to ensuring that both current and future researchers can access the resources held in MIT's extensive library collections. We are a unit in the Collection Management Services department at the MIT libraries.
We provide the following services for the MIT Libraries
- Conservation treatment of books, manuscripts, and archival materials
- Commercial binding
- Shelf preparation
- Preservation education, training, and outreach
- Disaster preparedness and response

Location
Preservation Services is located in the northwest
corner of the basement of Hayden Library, 14-0513.
From the Hayden Circulation desk, take
the stairs down, walk to the elevator and
take a left. Go to the back of those stacks
and take another left. The Preservation Services
entrance is on the far wall.
