NOTE: This committee is now part of the Research and Instructional Support Group (RISG). Please refer to RISG for current activities.
The
Instruction Committee works to educate the MIT community in the effective
use of information. In serving as the advocate for instruction in the
MIT libraries, and to encourage innovation and provide vision for continuous
growth we:
- lead
the library staff in assessing instructional needs and identifying core
information competencies;
- lead
the library staff in planning, executing, monitoring,
publicizing, and evaluating instruction programs;
- design
and develop instructional tools to be used by library staff;
- provide
training in instruction for library staff
