Members
The members of this group consist of two representives each from Dewey
and Rotch, one representative each from Barker, Hayden (Science and
Humanities), the Branch Libraries. This resource group is a joint group
of the Circulation and Reference Committees.
Project Scope Statement
Justification
- The ISP concept was recommended during the Public Services
Redefinition Process.
- Satisfies the Implementation Group's charge to evaluate the pilots.
- By examining the ISP pilots, explores the concepts of ISPs for all
units.
- Shares experience (positives/obstacles) of ISP pilots in order to
further the understanding of the ISP concept and to aid in the
consideration of ISPs in other units
Product Description
The product of this group's work will be a written report which
evaluates the Dewey and Rotch Libraries' ISP pilots and makes
recommendations about the future of the ISP concept in the MIT
Libraries.
Deliverables
- History of the ISP concept in the MIT Libraries
- Analysis of Pilots
- Evaluation of Impacts and Issues
- Recommendations for the Future
- Oral reports, as needed
Success Criteria
- Report delivered by January 14, 2000
- Web feedback form indicates Report is consulted
- Divisional Libraries and relevant committees ( Reference,
Circulation, PSMC, PSCC) in the MIT Libraries find the Report
informative
and useful in future planning
