Charge to the group:

· Determine functional requirements for the Database Discovery Tool and for cross-database metasearching.
· Identify products and solutions that might meet each set of requirements.
· Based upon functionality, cost, ongoing support requirements, and other technical considerations, make a recommendation for solution(s) for the two tools for the consideration of Library Council, with the understanding that the recommendation can include one product for both tools or two distinct products.

Composition of group:

The DDT/Metasearch Analysis Group will be composed of three subgroups:
· A group to analyze the functional requirements for the DDT
· A group to analyze functional requirements for a metasearch tool
· The third group will coordinate the efforts of the first two groups, identify and evaluate available products and solutions against the functional requirements determined by the first two subgroups, and make the final recommendation to Library Council
