Holdings LDR/008 macros
To use these macros, you will need to have your cursor in the LDR of your HOL
record:
With your cursor in the LDR, type the hotkey you chose for the appropriate
macro.
e-journals
- right click on this link and choose "Save
Link As..."
- save in your MacroExpress folder (in Program files)
- in Macro Express, choose "Add Macro" under "Macros"
(or click on the button
)
- assign a hotkey (the command you want to type to initiate the macro)
- click on the "Enter Directly" button; you'll get a "Modify
Directly Editor" with a large "Enter Keystrokes" window
- under "File" choose "Import from Text File"
- select the file you downloaded ("ffhol_ej.txt")
- click on "ok"
The HOL LDR/008 macro for e-journals is now in your macro express editor.
Double-click on it. Under the "properties" tab, you can name it and
specify what programs it should run in ("Global" is ok, or just program
CATALOG.EXE)
After you use the macro, your e-journal LDR and 008 should look like
this:

- assign a hotkey (the command you want to type to initiate the macro)
- click on the "Enter Directly" button; you'll get a "Modify
Directly Editor" with a large "Enter Keystrokes" window
- under
"File" choose "Import from Text File"
- select the file you downloaded ("item_dupe.txt")
- click on "ok"
The duplicate item macro is now in your macro express
editor. Double-click on it. Under the "properties" tab, you can name
it and specify what programs it should run in ("Global" is ok, or
just program ITEMS.EXE)
To use this macro, you must have already created a correct item to duplicate. Highlight the item with your cursor.
When the item is selected, type the hotkey you have assigned.
If the macro has worked successfully, your ending position will be in tab 4 of the item.
You need to fill in the enumeration, and (if you haven't set up a pattern in the ADM record) the description in tab 1. Finally, wand in the barcode.
