The ALS department is responsible for the acquisition of all serials, monographs, government documents, gifts, and networked resources. The department is comprised of five work units and is located in Building 14 , in Room 14E-210A .

Our Mission:

We acquire information resources and collaborate to create, sustain, and improve access to those resources for the MIT community.  To accomplish this, we proactively support library needs, judiciously manage funds, and offer expertise as liaisons in a complex network of relationships.  We anticipate trends in library acquisitions and develop relevant strategies. 5/12/2005
