Government Documents
at MIT
The Government
Documents Section is a unit of Acquisitions and Licensing Services. This is a
central processing unit for printed documents, microfiche, and electronic products
received from the Government Printing Office (GPO) through the Federal Depository
Library Program (FDLP). The materials are received and processed within the
section and then distributed to the various libraries and branches at MIT for
end processing and shelving. All questions related to the receipt of documents
through the FDLP should be directed to:
Maureen O'Donnell,
Section Head for Government Documents: meo@mit.edu;
253-7057.

- Self-Study
In lieu of on-site inspections, we are required by the GPO to submit a self-study
document for their review. We were last inspected on August 26, 1994. This
inspection/self-study process happens once every seven years, and our self-study
will be submitted by March 31, 2002. For more information about this process,
please contact Kim Maxwell at kmaxwell@mit.edu
or 617-253-7028.
