1.  Darcy plans to meet soon with the Systems OPAC staff to discuss next steps.

2.  New servers
- Both new servers will run Solaris 9 and Oracle 9.

I.  New test server               

- Aleph was installed on walter-1last Fri.                

- installation appears to be OK                

- Most tables and script directories will be copied from grammy to the new test server.                

- Christine has begun copying data and expects to be finished by the end of the week                

- BAG members need to test all major functions after data synchronization to walter-1                

- Christine will test speed of indexing in general and also parallel indexing.                

- Christine hit a problem with p_file_03 on data export; some tables only partially dumped. Incident opened with ExL. (incident number?)

II. New production server should be ready for Aleph installation in early January                

- we will need a couple days of downtime to synchronize data from (old) grammy                

- Jan. 13-15 2006 is the tentative cutover date.
