Barton Advisory Group Minutes -- 11/7/2002

Present: Finigan, Kajosalo (minutes), Maxwell, Moulen (chair)

Discussed the following priorities:

OPAC-3 (new priority) -- Moulen, Siers, Kajosalo will work on adding dynamic new acquisitions list to web OPAC. This is high priority item.

SER-1 -- EDI invoicing: Maxwell announced that because EDI invoicing needs patch 5 in production in addition to the bug Ex Libris programmers are working on, serials team are hand-entering the major invoices. Deadline for this priority changed to winter 2003.

SYS-6 -- Field Descriptions -- Moulen & Maxwell are starting with descriptions for data warehouse financial & acquisitions fields. Other BAG members will help as more data is in the Warehouse.

ALL-1 -- Reported problems tracking -- Nina Davis-Millis has this ready to go to Ex Libris.

SYS-2 -- Cleanup of initial permissions settings -- Moulen started working on this.

Announcements:

Moulen mentioned that because the patch 5 installation requires several hours of downtime, it will not happen before the end of the semester.

Finigan announced that fines will be activated on Monday 11/18/2002.
