1. Updates:
a. Georgiana will be meeting with Pam Nicholas to
discuss making changes to the screens in the staff Reserves
module; she will query the project list as to whether Reserve items
can be excluded from self-renewability
b. Michael and Irene Mazor conducted some testing scenarios in the
offline circulation transactions program and encountered
difficulties, concerning which they will be meeting with
Christine
c. Erja and Tracy Gabridge met with the Harvard Web OPAC design
team to share information and pass along some of MIT's
experiences; the Reserves aspect of the Web OPAC is not planned to
be immediately operational on July 9
d. Christine reported that she is preparing items, holdings,
orders, subscriptions, and course reserve records for final
migration; she has been working on the reports (out of Advance)
that have been requested - most are ready to run, or have been
run
e. Sarah detailed various publicity initiatives, and notifications
about the special library hours during the week of July 2 - she
noted that that week will be well-suited for staff training;
the Group discussed the approaching all-staff meeting - Sarah
will send out a final agenda
2. The Systems Office needs input from the Group concerning
permissions; Michael and Georgiana will meet about testing
permissions; Erja will confer with Carl Jones and David Johnson
about permissions for selectors
3. Sarah noted that the production database should be available for
testing next week, and needs to know which testers will need the
new client installed immediately. All staff will get the new client
during the week of July 2.
