ASG project list and subgroup membership (Dec. 2006):
- Collaboration of ASG and other Public Services units with Collection Services: Kim (convener), Melissa, Kathy, Kevin
- Life of a book: Jonah (convener), Elke, Justin, Mat
- Book handling training for all Public Services staff: Jonah, Elke, Kathy and to be coordinated with Ann Marie Willer, Preservation Services Librarian
- Review of public and technical services statistics: Mat (convener), Kim, Pat, Maria/Elke
- Review of web content relevant to ASG on circulation, processing and collections sites: Kevin (convener), Melissa, Irene, Maria, Mat and to be coordinated with Lisa Harrington in Serials Acquisitions
Parking lot:
- Standardization of missing and replacement procedures (some of this is being addressed in ISG)
- List of proposals to be sent on to PSLG
- Documentation for the fines process, billing process and the waiving of fines (“life of a fine”) – possibly to be referred to ISG
- Circulation privileges grid review and updating
- Cataloging expansion codes review and updating
- Discussion of user self sufficiency regarding circulation/self-checkout and e-reserves – possibly to be referred to ISG
- Discussion of work for student workers vs. employees
