MIT
Safety and Security Program
MIT provides
a complete safety program through the Environmental,
Health and Safety Team. One department cannot ensure the safety
of all prersons within an institution the size and complexity of MIT;
therefore, safety is a responsibility shared by everyone.
Some of
the programs implemented by Environmental, Health and Safety include,
but are not limited to:
•
Industrial Hygiene
• Fire Safety
• Laboratory Safety
• Hazardous Materials and Waste Management
• Ergonomics
• Emergency Preparedness
• Environmental Iissues;
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Radiation Safety.
