MIT Safety and Security Program

MIT provides a complete safety program through the Environmental, Health and Safety Team. One department cannot ensure the safety of all prersons within an institution the size and complexity of MIT; therefore, safety is a responsibility shared by everyone.

Some of the programs implemented by Environmental, Health and Safety include, but are not limited to:

Industrial Hygiene
Fire Safety
Laboratory Safety
Hazardous Materials and Waste Management
Ergonomics
Emergency Preparedness
Environmental Iissues;
Personal Protective Equipment
Radiation Safety.
