Support Staff Pay Policy for Planned Library Closures
When
a library is scheduled to be closed at times other than an Institute
holiday (such as holiday weekends), support staff members normally scheduled
to work those hours will be paid as if they worked for half of their
scheduled hours. For the other half of the normally scheduled hours,
the employee may choose from the following options:
1) make
up the time within the week of the closure or following week
2) take the time as vacation or personal leave
3) take the time as leave without pay
Time cards
for those staff members affected should be completed accordingly.
