Administrative Services
Furniture• Repair of Furniture can be done by either the manufacturer or the carpentry or metal shops. Please coordinate repairs with Michael Smith.
• New Furniture can be obtained in several ways. It is recommended to work with the Procurement Office and stay with MIT reccommended vendors such as Herman Miller and Steelcase.
• Surplus Property can be dealt with in several ways. Please check with the Property Office to see which method best suits your need.
• MIT Moving: Moving by the MIT movers can be done with a requisition through SAPweb. Please try to give a couple of days' notice. The contact with the movers is Michael Smith and he can be reached at 3-6350.
• Moving by Outside Vendors: The Libraries typically use an outside moving service for most large or specialized moves. Please coordinate with Michael Smith if you are unsure of this procedure.
